The Northern California Center of The ManKind Project® is a diverse, vital, and potent community of men committed to empowering men to live from a place of integrity, authenticity, and service. We are creating a world of love, healing, and growing consciousness.
We support men to live to their full potential, encouraging them to co-create the healthy solutions needed within our society for a more safe and just world. We foster loving families, strong communities, and healthy workplaces in a sustainable environment.
There are more than 3,500 New Warriors in the Northern California Community. New Warriors are men that have been initiated through attending the New Warrior Training Adventure. This powerful training program is held five times a year in Northern California, as well as throughout the United States and other parts of the world. See the list of Northern California NWTAs on our Home page and see our List of NWTAs worldwide for the training dates everywhere:
Our NorCal community stretches from Monterey and Santa Cruz in the south up through the heart of the Bay Area including Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, and Walnut Creek, and then north to the Oregon border through the coastal counties of Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino, and Humboldt. The Center stretches east from Vacaville and Davis, through the Sacramento area, and up into the foothills of the Sierra Mountains including Grass Valley, Nevada City and Reno.
Our intention as a community of powerful men is to:
- Enable men to live lives of integrity, accountability, and connection to feeling
- Be of service to the community at large, both as individual men with a renewed sense of passion and personal purpose and as circles of men working together to build vibrant, sustainable communities.
Men within our community are taking action to create a better world by living their personal missions and being of service in however they choose.
There are more then 55 on-going MKP men’s circles, or Integration Groups, in the Northern California Community. Integration Groups (or I-Groups) vary in their admission policies but generally invite men who are currently known to members, or who have completed the New Warrior Training Adventure. These groups generally meet once a week in the evening and are a continuation of the process of doing personal work around life issues raised during the training weekend, and that continue to arise in one’s own personal life journey. Many of our I-Groups are open to visitors.
We also host several Open Men’s Circles throughout Northern California which are open to any man to join, and which are supported and facilitated by MKP men who are seasoned in leading men’s groups. Learn more about our Open Circles on our MeetUp.com site at https://www.meetup.com/MKPnorcal/.
